SCRIA State Meetings 2015

Anyone with an interest in the Cleaning and Restoration industries is welcome to attend SCRIA’s State Meetings. The meetings are designed to bring members together to share industry knowledge and experience in an informal environment. There are usually 2-3 speaker presentations per meeting with an update from SCRIA’s State Presidents. These meetings are also a great opportunity to spark new friendships and create new industry contacts. Registration is FREE. Email [email protected] with your name and details to register.

Our very own member Barry Kaye from GC Singletons has a long term history in the restoration industry as well as Carpet supply under Government Contract. Barry is going to take us through the nuances of what GC Singletons does as well as lead a discussion on “Duty of Care”, how it effects us and what our responsibilities are.

Suzanne Harrington from Pinnacle TMS is an author and expert in trademarking your business name. Suzanne will talk to us about the importance of protecting your brand and answer a very important question:“Is a trademark the same as a business name?”

Notice is hereby given that the Annual General Meeting of the Specialised Cleaning & Restoration Industry Association (SCRIA) is to be held on Tuesday 2 September in conjunction with the SCRIA NSW State Event and CleanScene (2-4 September), Sydney. The AGM will commence at 5.30pm at Carpet Care Services, Unit 4/31 Chaplin Drive, Lane Cove, NSW 2066. Members are invited to forward agenda items to the Returning Office prior to close of business 22 August 2014 at 5pm.
